If malfunctions with photovoltaic plants are not immediately detected, this leads to high yield losses. This problem can be avoided with a professional monitoring system. Errors are immediately detected and the projected power yields from the photovoltaic plant are ensured.

The Solar-Log™ device monitors photovoltaic plants and detects problems before they can cause lasting negative consequences, e.g. inverter outages. The status and fault codes from the individual inverters are continuously recorded and saved in the event log to provide a comprehensive overview. The Solar-Log™ transmits details of these deviations either by e-mail or by text message (SMS).


Full Power with Solar-Log™

The individual output from the inverters are compared to detect malfunctions and to ensure that the photovoltaic plant runs efficiently without any downtime. The Solar-Log™ examines kWh output and normalized power output from the inverters so that different sized inverters can still be compared with one another. Solar-Log™ can detect deviations right down to string level for multi-string tracking inverters. The Solar-Log™ transmits details of these deviations either by e-mail or by text message (SMS).

Solar-Log™ Monitoring in Detail



  1. Individual inverters can be displayed separately.
  2. Yields display the history of the current and target yields.
  3. The UDC value is the input voltage at the inverter as well as the output voltage at the module.
  4. Yield specific / kWp: This is the output divided by the plant size. It serves as a good reference value when comparing plants.
  5. Values: Process the yields in table form.
  6. Balance displays the consumption and power production.
  7. 24h: Expand the timeline to 24 hours.
  8. Feed-in power Pac is the output at the inverter and the output provided for the grid power.
  9. Generator power Pdc output is the current amount of power P fed-in from the module on the DC side of the inverter.
  10. Inverter efficiency η is the current efficiency factor from the generator output and feed-in power.
  11. Status / Errors: Manufacturer-specific status and error codes from the inverters, refer to the manual of the particular inverter.
  12. Yield: The yield for the displayed period (day, month, year, or overview of all of the years).
  13. Maximum value: The maximum output value within the displayed period.
  14. Target: The Solar-Log™ runs a forecasting statistics function that specifies a certain target value for each time period.
  15. Actual: The current value displays the ratio of the current yield to the target yield.
  16. Avoided CO2 emissions: The total amount of C02 emissions avoided.
