Solar-Log 2000 and Solar-Log WEB Enerest™
The project is founded by the “European Union Cross-Border Cooperation in the Mediterranean” (ENPI-CBCMED), MED-SOLAR project, in partnership with MONEERA, a non-profit social enterprise focused on alleviating the electric power shortage problem in Lebanon (and beyond). MONEERA´s aim is to assist the government in providing practical, sustainable, reliable and affordable solutions to the power shortages in Lebanon.
This is the first solar system to be installed at the AUB, aiming to ensure reliable & cost saving electricity with a low maintenance system: A photovoltaic hybrid power plant consisting of a PV generator, PV plant controller and data logger, and inverters & auxiliary equipment - from leading brands such as Trina Solar & Schletter. The data logger selected was the energy management system from Solare Datensysteme GmbH, which in this case consists of a Solar-Log 2000 and the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ online portal.
“It is a pilot project that will prove the importance of a photovoltaic system as a solution for the electricity sector and it would be a good example to drive the whole university towards going green,” said George Geha, Chairman of ECOsys.
